The Rubens and a giraffe walk into a bar. After a few drinks, the giraffe lies down on the floor. The barman says, “Hey! What’s that lyin’ on the floor?” The Rubens say, “That’s not a lion, it’s a giraffe!”
With the breathtakingly great musical ability The Rubens possess, any show they play little wild. Friday night’s show at The Forum exactly that. Okay, maybe minus the giraffe. Aaaanyway……
The Rubens have just released their debut album of the same name and are rapidly becoming talk of the town. With a little piano, a guitar or two and a whole lotta charm, these Sydney-siders are well on their way to taking over the music world as we know it.
The band are in the middle of their biggest Australian tour to date and we were lucky enough to catch Sam, (front-man,) of the busy Syndey blues/rock/soul outfit who told us a little about the surreal experience the boys have had thus far and gave us a glimpse of the great things to come.
