After spending years talking about how they should open their own place, hospitality veterans Ash Cranston and Steed Sherriff have got together and produced Port Melbourne’s latest gem–Rose Diner and Bar.
Having done stints and The Royal Saxon and Little Creatures it was hard to imagine this was a team that would produce anything but something special. Drawing on childhood memories with a gastropub twist the menu sports mouth-watering classic such as Vol-au-Vents, Steak Diane and Coq Au Vin.
Head Chef is Royal Saxon graduate Stephen Drake and you can see his UK born influence across the menu. The Welsh Rarebit croquettes being up there with our favorites from the night.
