Shielded from the elements, contained entirely within the historic sheds of Queen Victoria Market; Melbourne has a new night market. As the nights start to warm up we’ve been spending our Wednesday nights gorging on Texan BBQ, Spanish Chorizo & fresh Mexican. There’s a great breadth of traders at the Night Market and it’s launch saw the beginning of the new ‘Stringbean Alley’ precinct at the QVM. This much needed refreshment brings traders such as ‘The Waffle Club’ and Padre Coffee to an oft neglected area of the market.
As this is the first time the night market’s run it’s a lot more approachable than the sometimes overwhelming Suzuki Night Market that the QVM run in summer. So what better to do on a Wednesday night, than eat some good food, sip on a glass of wine and browse some kitch handmade goods.
This night market is very ‘Melbourne’, and tonight’s the last night. Maybe we’ll see you there.
